Microsoft officials first discussed the company's plans to deliver a Web-ified version of Office at the Professional Developers Conference in October, 2008. But the company is sharing a few more details in advance of its release about how Silverlight will "light up" the Webified versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote. Microsoft still has yet to release the technology preview test build of its Office Web Apps that is slated for some time in August.
